BARTENDER

Job Responsibilities:

Preparing hand-crafted cocktails from scratch
Serving high-end cocktails, beer, wine and food to guests in a timely and friendly manner in a fast paced environment
Mix and garnish beverages according to recipes and portion control standards set by Salsa 17
Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations
Stock, prepare and maintain the bar to include beer, wine, spirits, glassware, ice
Cut and ensure the quality of all fresh fruit garnishes as well as all fresh fruit juices and purees
Able to lift a minimum amount of 50lbs
Stand, bend, walk and work in confined area for extended periods of time
Open the bar
Breakdown, clean and restock all areas, machinery and utensils used behind the bar
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include but not limited to point-of- sale system, handling money, processing credit/debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards and vouchers

Job Description:

The Bartender hand crafts beverages according to Salsa 17 recipes, assists customers in making food and beverage selections, and takes and rings in orders. The Bartender is responsible for all aspects of the bar area including, but not limited to setting up and stocking product for each shift, maintaining storage areas, cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining all equipment, utensils and tools.
